We’re the crew that shows up in Fairfax with Rotobrush units in the van and name tags on our shirts. Every one of us has passed a background check, trained on the same equipment roster, and signed the same H.A.V.E.N. Standard pledge. What unites us isn’t a handbook - it’s the habit of photographing every duct run before we touch it and after we finish, then handing the customer a written price before a single panel comes off. That’s been the rule since Tomas Reyes started this operation in 2013, and it’s the rule we follow on every job in Fairfax, from Mantua to Kings Park West.

I started CleanRun in 2013 after ten years in commercial HVAC and enough side jobs to know that homeowners were getting two things they didn’t deserve: surprise invoices and no proof the work happened. I built this company around Haven Standard Clause 1 - written price before work starts, every time, no exceptions. I’m still the one who answers when a Fairfax customer calls with a question about their photo record, and I’m still the one who drives out if a crew finds something weird in a plenum (the main distribution box above your furnace) that doesn’t match the original scope. My specialty is older Fairfax County split-levels built in the 1960s and 70s - I’ve mapped enough of their duct layouts to know where the original installers cut corners. Off the clock, I restore vintage motorcycles and I’m told I talk about airflow the way other people talk about carburetors.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running negative-pressure extraction systems (high-suction cleaning that pulls debris out without blowing it into your living space) for eight years, the last four with us in Fairfax. He’s certified on the Abatement Technologies line and he’s the one who trains new hires on how to read a duct run without dismantling half the basement. His specialty is post-renovation cleanouts - he’s cleared enough drywall dust from Oakton remodels to know that standard residential cleaning won’t touch it. Marcus carries a borescope camera he modified himself to fit older rectangular ductwork common in Fairfax Station homes. He’ll show you the image in real time, then show you again when he’s done. He coaches youth basketball in Vienna and has never once described a duct as “really dirty” - he’ll tell you the camera showed a 2-inch debris build-up at the second elbow, and he’ll have the timestamp to prove it.
Dana K., Senior Installer - Duct Repair & Sealing
Dana joined us in 2019 after six years doing commercial duct fabrication in Manassas. She handles our repair and sealing work, which means she’s the one crawling through attics in Burke to find where a duct run has separated from its register boot (the metal fitting that connects duct to vent). She’s certified on the Nikro duct sealing system and she’s developed a method for accessing collapsed flex duct in Fairfax’s tighter crawl spaces without tearing out insulation. Her human detail: she keeps a notebook of every home’s “duct personality” - her term for the quirks of original installation - and she’s referenced it on three separate jobs to solve problems that stumped the original builders. She lives in Centreville, grows tomatoes she won’t stop talking about, and has a standing bet with Marcus about who can document the most unusual object found in a return duct. (She’s winning. A 1978 Star Wars action figure, Fairfax City colonial, still in the packaging. The customer kept it.)
Elena R., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice you hear when you call (571) 526-0015 and the person who makes sure your written estimate, your appointment confirmation, and your post-job photo record all arrive when they should. She’s been with CleanRun since 2017 and she knows the Fairfax scheduling realities: which neighborhoods have the street parking that requires a smaller van, which HOAs in Fairfax County require 48-hour notice for service vehicles, and which weeks in August the pollen count makes allergy-related bookings spike. She maintains the H.A.V.E.N. Standard crew verification logs - Haven Standard Clause 3 - and she’s the one who confirms technician names and arrival windows with customers the evening before. Elena grew up in Annandale, still lives there, and has a remarkable tolerance for Tomas’s motorcycle stories because she rides herself - a 2019 Royal Enfield she maintains in her driveway.
Javier M., Apprentice Technician
Javier started with us in 2022 after completing the HVAC program at Northern Virginia Community College. He’s working toward his lead technician certification under Marcus’s supervision and he’s already proficient on the Rotobrush system for standard residential cleaning. His current focus is learning to diagnose airflow restrictions in multi-zone systems - the kind of setup common in newer Fairfax builds where dampers control which rooms get heated or cooled. Javier’s the one who asks the questions customers are sometimes too polite to ask, then explains the answer without the jargon. He was born in Woodbridge, lives with his parents in Lorton while he saves for his own place, and he’s documented more before-and-after photo records in his first eighteen months than any apprentice we’ve had. He also makes a point of learning one local history fact about every Fairfax neighborhood he works in, which customers seem to either love or tolerate with confusion.
