Three golden retrievers, one old flex duct run in a Mantua split-level. The bedroom above the garage never got warm; the camera showed a solid mat of hair and dander reducing the duct to a third of its diameter. We cut access at the plenum, extracted the blockage with a combination of brush agitation and reverse air sweep, then sealed the access with a code-compliant patch. The before-and-after photos went to the customer’s email before the crew packed up. Airflow at the register measured 47 CFM before, 112 CFM after.
Mold Remediation Prep in Kings Park West
Kings Park West sits low; basements stay damp through July and August. This homeowner found dark spotting on the basement supply duct during a renovation and called us before calling a mold remediation company. Our inspection showed surface growth limited to the first four feet of trunk, no structural damage. We cleaned with contact brushing and negative-pressure extraction, then applied an EPA-registered sanitizing agent through a fogging manifold. A Penderbrook townhouse owner with a diagnosed dust mite allergy was changing their 1-inch filter every three weeks and still waking up congested.
